Overview
HomeFinder Pro is a comprehensive real estate platform connecting buyers, sellers, and agents. The existing platform suffered from high bounce rates (68%), lengthy property search times (avg 12 min), and poor mobile conversion (2.1%). My role was to lead the UX redesign focusing on the core property discovery and lead generation flows.
User Use Cases
Based on user research with 45 participants and analysis of 50,000+ user sessions, I identified 6 primary use cases that drove the design decisions.

Actor: First-time buyer (age 25-35)
Goal: Find affordable starter homes within budget in safe neighborhoods
Scenario: User has pre-approval for $350K, knows desired area but not specific neighborhoods. Needs to compare schools, commute times, and safety ratings.
Key Features Designed:
- Affordability calculator integrated into search filters

Scenario: User checks app for 5-10 minutes daily. Needs to quickly identify properties worth deeper investigation. Attention span limited.

Side-by-side comparison mode allowing users to evaluate up to 5 properties simultaneously. Key metrics auto-highlight differences (e.g., "$15K less per sqft"). Used by 34% of serious buyers, with 68% higher conversion to tour booking.
One-Tap Tour Booking
Eliminated multi-step form filling. Users select available time slots displayed directly on property cards. Reduced booking abandonment from 73% to 18%.
